The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food preparation, food handling, and fine dining service. This role involves creating great-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to a memorable dining experience for our guests. The Hibachi Chef will play a vital role in menu planning and ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence are upheld. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble dishes with precision and artistry, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization within your station and kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients to maintain freshness and quality Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs for replenishment Collaborate with restaurant staff to deliver exceptional food service experiences Uphold all food safety standards, including proper knife skills, sanitation, and allergen management Participate in catering events or special functions as needed Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment Requirements Proven experience as a Hibachi Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry, fine dining, or restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety protocols Expertise in knife skills, meal preparation, and sushi rolling techniques Experience with menu planning and creating innovative sushi dishes Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus Excellent food safety practices and understanding of kitchen safety procedures Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Prior experience in catering or serving is advantageous Culinary experience with a focus on Japanese cuisine or sushi is preferred This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to showcase their skills in a dynamic environment.
