Full Job Description Role Overview:
SodexoMagic Campus segment is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Wayne State University, in Detroit Michigan . This Chef will manage the culinary responsibilities for the Campus Food Service Operations in Residential dining. Sodexo provides college campuses with food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions. Joining us at one of our campus sites enables you to positively influence college students' well-being and create a healthy learning environment. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin "Magic" Johnson and Sodexo. This strategic alliance enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve. For almost 20 years, we have provided top-level food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities and aviation lounges.
What You'll Do:
be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems

Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirement
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum Management Experience
  • 2 years Minimum Functional Experience
  • 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
