Baruch Senior Ministries , a faith-based, non-profit organization, is looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to serve as a full-time Dietary Director for our neighborhood communities, Hyde Park and Living Joy , located in Flushing, MI. Both Hyde Park and Living Joy offer assisted living and specialized care in a homelike environment, with a range of care. As the Dietary Director, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents by preparing and serving palatable, nutritionally balanced, and high-quality food. Your responsibilities will include purchasing food, maintaining inventory, keeping equipment, kitchen, and dining areas clean, as well as participating in the hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining of food service department employees. Qualified Candidates will possess:

A passion for quality service and great food. A Culinary degree or certification from an accredited institution. Three years of experience cooking and baking from scratch, as well as preparing special diets in a long-term care or assisted living setting (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Previous supervisory experience (preferred). Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Word, Outlook, and other software programs used by Baruch. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
