Duties:
  • Prepare and create sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in all food preparation and handling processes
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management for ingredient replenishment
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer inquiries or special requests
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a restaurant or catering setting
  • In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including rolling, cutting, and presentation
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent knife skills and ability to handle raw fish with precision
  • Creativity in developing new sushi recipes and flavor combinations
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and interact with customers
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
