Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to craft innovative menus, oversee all kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. As the driving force behind our culinary excellence, you will inspire your team to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and regularly refresh menus that reflect seasonality, creativity, and our culinary vision Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and service standards Hire, train, mentor, and schedule kitchen staff; foster a positive, high-performing team culture Manage food and labor costs, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations Maintain plating and portioning standards through active QC during service Collaborate with front-of-house management on menu pricing, specials, and events Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed Handle food cost analysis, waste reduction, and budget forecasting What We're Looking For 5+ years of progressive kitchen experience, including 2+ years in a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Sous Chef leadership role Proven ability to manage a team and run a kitchen during high-volume service Strong understanding of food cost control, inventory management, and menu pricing Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience Food Safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) required Creative palate with a strong foundation in classic technique Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
