Position Overview:
As the Pastry Chef, you'll be responsible for producing a variety of high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and baked goods. You'll oversee the pastry department, manage prep and production schedules, and contribute to menu development with innovative and seasonal offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a wide range of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and plated sweets Design and develop dessert menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef or management Ensure consistency, quality, and visual appeal of all pastry items Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper storage and rotation of ingredients Oversee and train pastry assistants or team members Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pastry kitchen Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards Stay up to date on pastry trends, techniques, and seasonal ingredients
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, dessert preparation, and flavor profiles Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and lead a pastry team Creativity and passion for pastry arts Culinary or pastry degree preferred, but not required Food safety certification is a plus
