We currently have an opening for an ambitious, passionate, and energetic Sous Chef to bring their ideas and experience to our fast-paced kitchen. We're looking for someone who pushes the boundaries and challenges the status quo on culinary trends. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have a commitment to phenomenal service and presentation. As an integral part of the F&B team, the Sous Chef will be accountable for the overall success of the daily kitchen operations. They will exhibit their culinary talents while leading and managing the kitchen staff during all food-related functions, ensuring a consistent high-quality product is produced. This position will work to continually improve member and guest satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Along with being responsible for guiding and developing kitchen staff in food production technique, this individual must ensure the highest level of sanitation and food standards are achieved. Duties Under the general direction of the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will be responsible for the following: Assist in daily management and supervision of the culinary team, including food preparation, technical cooking, and plating skills Ability to be creative with food preparation, set-up, and displays Managing culinary personnel to execute recipes, menus, production standards, cooking processes, methods, and procedures Responsible for accurate ordering, appropriate product selection, and inventory management Effective communication skills to converse with chef, servers, and support staff Ambition to learn and progress career with the business Sincere passion about cooking, people, and being of service to others Skills Extensive banquet experience with the ability to manage large-scale food service events Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary setting Strong background in dietary department protocols and food handling safety procedures Expertise in food production, menu planning, and catering operations within fine dining environments Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams as a chef or kitchen supervisor Knowledge of inventory management, cost control strategies, and kitchen management best practices Excellent cooking skills with proficiency in food preparation and presentation techniques Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and overall food industry standards Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in hospitality settings This is an exciting time to join the CCMO team!
