Unlike traditional restaurants, we operate in a bulk-cooking kitchen. So no made-to-order meals, no nightmares about the ticket machine, and no waitress putting in a rush order. Position Summary Benefit Meals is seeking a skilled and dependable Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing large batches of proteins, vegetables, and other meal components while maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and consistency. This is not a cook-to-order restaurant environment . There are no tickets printing from a ticket machine and no rushes driven by individual customer orders. Instead, our kitchen operates more like a bulk catering or food production facility, preparing meals in volume according to established recipes and production schedules. Responsibilities Cook and prepare bulk quantities of meats, proteins, vegetables, starches, and sauces Portion, cut, trim, and prepare proteins according to company specifications Wash, cut, and prepare vegetables and other ingredients Follow recipes and production schedules Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation standards Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Support other kitchen operations and chef duties as needed Work collaboratively with the production and packaging team Qualifications Previous chef, line cook, catering, meal prep, or food production experience preferred Strong knife skills and experience preparing proteins and vegetables Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production kitchen Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Reliable attendance and positive attitude
