Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times. Serve as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behavior in the kitchen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30pm no nights Holidays or week-ends. Support the Executive Chef in leading daily café and catering operations for a high-volume corporate dining account Lead kitchen execution across multiple platforms (hot line, deli, catering prep) ensuring speed, consistency, and quality Act as chef in charge in the absence of the Executive Chef; drive service, decision-making, and team direction Execute and support large-scale catering events (50-500+ guests), including prep planning, production, and on-site support Maintain strict standards for food quality, presentation, and portion control across all offerings Train, coach, and hold culinary team accountable to standards, recipes, and proper kitchen procedures Monitor and control product cost (PC) through accurate ordering, inventory management, and waste reduction Support labor management by aligning staffing with volume and maintaining efficient production flow Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and local health department requirements Collaborate with front-of-house, coffee bar, and catering teams to deliver a seamless guest experience Step into any station as needed—hands-on leadership during peak service is expected Maintain organization, cleanliness, and readiness of all kitchen areas and equipment Assist with menu execution, daily specials, and continuous improvement of café and catering offerings Reinforce a positive, professional kitchen culture focused on teamwork, communication, and accountability Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
