Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Banquet Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences for large-scale events and banquets. This dynamic role requires a passionate culinary professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, possesses strong leadership qualities, and has a keen eye for detail. As a Banquet Chef, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen management to ensure every event exceeds guest expectations. Your expertise in fine dining, food safety, and team supervision will be vital to delivering memorable culinary moments that elevate our venue's reputation. Duties Lead and supervise the banquet kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and timely service for all events Develop innovative menus tailored to event themes, dietary requirements, and client preferences while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper handling procedures Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs Coordinate with event planners and service staff to ensure seamless execution of banquet services from setup through cleanup Train and mentor kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and service standards to foster a motivated and skilled team Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations and industry best practices Experience Proven banquet experience with a strong background in large-scale food production and catering operations Supervising experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced environments such as hotels, resorts, or event venues Extensive knowledge of dietary accommodations, including allergy-sensitive cooking and special diet menus Demonstrated expertise in food management, inventory control, menu planning, and kitchen operations management Fine dining experience with an emphasis on presentation quality and high-end culinary techniques Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage shifts effectively while maintaining team morale Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP certification or equivalent is preferred Experience in restaurant or hospitality management roles that involve catering or large event coordination is highly desirable Join us as a Banquet Chef to craft extraordinary culinary experiences that leave lasting impressions!
