Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef/Lead Line Cook to elevate our culinary offerings and lead our kitchen team with passion and precision. This pivotal role combines expert food preparation, team leadership, and kitchen management to deliver exceptional dining experiences. As a key player in our culinary operation, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure food safety standards are met, and inspire your team to achieve excellence in every plate served. Your energetic approach and culinary expertise will drive the success of our restaurant's reputation for fine dining and memorable service. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring smooth shift operations and high-quality food production. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with attention to presentation, flavor, and consistency, adhering to established recipes and standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment. Collaborate on menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences to keep offerings innovative and appealing. Coordinate with the catering and banquet departments to execute large-scale events seamlessly. Train and mentor junior staff members in culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards. Requirements Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills across various cuisines. Demonstrated leadership abilities with supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Extensive knowledge of food production, food handling, and safety regulations within the food industry. Experience managing inventory control, food service management, and shift scheduling. Background in banquet service, catering, or large event preparation is highly desirable. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment. Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for culinary excellence and hospitality.
