Currently, this position is on a part-time basis with a potential for it to become a full time position. The ideal candidate will have a solid experience and skills in preparing meticulous, high quality sushi items (mainly rolls and gunkans). This position reports to the Head Sushi Chef. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision and artistry, adhering to traditional techniques and presentation standards Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service hours Uphold high standards of quality control for taste, appearance, and freshness of all dishes served Skills Solid culinary experience with a focus on Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation Willingness to learn, desire to improve skills and to contribute to the team's success Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about Japanese cuisine who are eager to work with and learn from classically trained Japanese sushi chefs.
