PRIVATE CHEF RANCH
POSITIONNew Mexico | Live-In | Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Private Chef to join our working ranch in New Mexico. This is a live-in position for a self-sufficient, talented cook who thrives in a rural setting and takes pride in feeding people well.
CUISINE EXPERTISE
REQUIREDChinese/Asian cuisine authentic techniques, from scratchTex-Mex and New Mexico regional cooking, including green chileGame meat preparation venison, elk, wild boar, and similarWood fire and open flame cookingScratch baking and bread makingCharcuterie, butchery, and whole-animal utilizationSmoking, curing, pickling, and preservationRESPONSIBILITIESPrepare daily meals for household and ranch staffCook for ranch gatherings and guest entertainmentManage kitchen inventory, meal planning, and grocery budgetingSource ingredients locally when possible, including from ranch-raised beefMaintain a clean, organized kitchen and meet food safety standardsAccommodate dietary restrictions and allergies as neededQUALIFICATIONS3+ years professional cooking experience (private household, estate, or restaurant)Culinary school training preferred but not requiredExperience in remote or ranch settings a strong plusServSafe or equivalent food safety certificationValid driver's license requiredMust be comfortable living and working in a rural environmentWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceLive-in housing providedMeals and utilities includedStable, long-term position on a working ranch
