Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here An established and well-regarded full-service restaurant in the heart of East Aurora, NY is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead back-of-house operations. This is a confidential search for a key leadership role at one of the area's most popular dining destinations, known for its elevated pub fare, scratch kitchen, and vibrant local following.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations, including daily service, prep, and production
  • Develop and execute seasonal menus using fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Maintain a scratch kitchen culture and ensure consistent food quality and presentation
  • Hire, train, and mentor BOH staff; foster a positive and professional kitchen environment
  • Create and manage kitchen schedules to align with labor budgets and business needs
  • Monitor food and labor costs to ensure profitability goals are met
  • Ensure all kitchen operations comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with FOH management to ensure smooth kitchen-to-dining room service
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume, scratch kitchen environment
  • Proven ability to create and execute menus, including daily specials and seasonal offerings
  • Strong knowledge of food cost management, labor controls, and BOH financials
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain one quickly
  • Passion for culinary excellence and commitment to guest satisfaction
Ideal Candidate:
  • Creative, driven, and committed to sourcing quality ingredients and maintaining high standards
  • Able to lead by example in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team-focused restaurant environment
  • Has experience managing a kitchen staff of 10+ in a high-volume setting
  • Comfortable with both hands-on cooking and administrative duties
