Job Description
Chef's Assistant — Full-Time Join us in building a collaborative, inspiring kitchen culture from the ground up. We're looking for a passionate and organized Chef's Assistant to join our team and help bring our kitchen vision to life.
Our mission is simple:
bring people together with delicious food, prepared with love using the best local ingredients. You'll work closely with our Chef, Baker, and Farm Manager to create seasonal specials that showcase the freshest local produce and proteins, complemented by our from-scratch baked goods. We're open daily from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM , offering flexibility in scheduling. Responsibilities Oversee daily execution of our core culinary menu, including made-to-order breakfast and lunch items. Prepare and maintain high-quality grab-and-go foods. Collaborate with the Chef, Baker, and Farm Manager to develop weekly and seasonal specials using the freshest local ingredients. Build and manage daily and weekly prep schedules to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen and prep environment. Ensure consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all food preparation and service. Help foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture among kitchen and bakery staff. Support kitchen operations and step into different roles as needed to keep service running smoothly. What We're Looking For Professional kitchen experience, preferably in a chef or sous chef role. Strong organizational and time-management skills. A passion for fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. A positive, collaborative attitude and willingness to contribute wherever needed. Creativity and enthusiasm for developing seasonal dishes and specials.
