PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
The Head Chef leads all culinary operations for the company, collaborating on menu development, food quality and safety, and ingredient ordering and inventory. This role works closely with the Guest Experience team to deliver food and a guest experience that reflects the family brand(s) and is comfortable running a working kitchen during peak service and events.COMPANY EXPECTATIONS

Kitchen Operations:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, plating, and cleanup, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain kitchen equipment, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance. Uphold cleanliness and organizational standards in line with brand expectations.Menu Development:
Develop, cost, and update seasonal menus that complement the company's lineup. Create pairing recommendations for tastings, tours, and special events.Food Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all NYS Department of Health food safety and sanitation regulations. Maintain ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification for.Cost Control & Inventory:
Manage food and supply ordering, vendor relationships, and inventory to control costs and minimize waste. Monitor food cost percentages and labor costs against budget; adjust portioning, pricing, and staffing to hit targets.Event Coordination:
Coordinate with the Customer Experience Manager and Events team on private events, tastings, and seasonal programming.Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in kitchen management or head chef role, ideally in a restaurant, brewery, or hospitality setting.
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
- Proven ability to lead a kitchen team.
- Strong understanding of food costing, inventory management, and basic P&L.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Benefits (when hired perm):
