Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi offerings with precision and creativity, adhering strictly to established recipes and presentation standards Operate kitchen equipment such as sushi rollers, knives, rice cookers, and refrigeration units safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and sanitation protocols in accordance with food safety regulations, including sanitizing work surfaces and tools regularly Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative sushi options and seasonal specials to enhance customer experience Support food production during peak hours by managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality control Handle food ingredients responsibly, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and handling practices to prevent contamination Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery Qualifications Previous experience in a culinary environment, preferably with dietary aide or restaurant experience focusing on sushi or Japanese cuisine Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling Knowledge of food safety management procedures and sanitizing practices specific to high-volume production kitchens Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation within a fast-paced setting Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a high-volume or catering environment Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Passion for culinary arts with a focus on fine dining or food industry excellence Embark on this exciting journey where your skills will be valued, your creativity celebrated, and your contribution vital to delivering memorable dining experiences.
