Job Description

Role Overview Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef to support the Middletown City School District in Middletown, OH . This role provides culinary leadership for high-volume K‑12 breakfast, lunch, catering, and summer feeding programs, with a strong focus on food quality, menu execution, and presentation. Middletown City Schools is a large, progressive district and proud CEP participant, serving free breakfast and lunch daily with high student participation.   • Ohio State Pension Plan What You'll Do Lead daily culinary operations for high‑volume K‑12 breakfast and lunch programs Oversee catering services and special events across the district Execute menu planning, food preparation, and production standards Support innovative programs including mobile food truck and summer feeding initiatives Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and Sodexo standards Train, coach, and inspire culinary team members while supporting marketing and "Chef in the Classroom" initiatives What We Offer Compensation is fair and equitable, partially determined by a candidate's education level or years of relevant experience.

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience
  • 2 years Minimum Functional Experience
  • 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
