Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality desserts, baked goods, and pastry items in a fast-paced, full-service kitchen environment. This role ensures all pastry items are executed to recipe specifications, presented consistently, and prepared safely while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, and other sweet items according to recipes and presentation standards Execute daily production for items such as breads, cakes, cookies, plated desserts, and specialty items Set up and stock pastry stations with necessary ingredients and supplies Maintain consistency in quality, portioning, and visual presentation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines Operate kitchen and baking equipment safely and efficiently Assist with decorating and plating desserts for service Support menu development with creativity and attention to detail when needed Assist with prep work, inventory rotation, labeling, and storage of ingredients Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Support the team during peak service periods while maintaining a positive attitude
Qualifications & Skills:
Previous pastry or baking experience preferred (professional kitchen experience a plus) Knowledge of baking techniques, dessert preparation, and pastry fundamentals Ability to follow recipes with precision and consistency Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Creative mindset with a passion for pastry and presentation Team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Fast-paced full-service restaurant kitchen. Exposure to heat, sharp tools, and baking equipment.
