Job Description

"Adelsheim Vineyard, just outside of Newberg, is seeking a self-sufficient Chief Morale Officer, AKA Chef, to feed our harvest team this fall. This will be a full time temporary position, 5 days a week with some overtime paid at 1.5x base rate. An ideal candidate for this position is fully self-sufficient and can manage a budget, do some of their own shopping, menu plan in collaboration with our full time chef for one prepared meal per day for our wine production team of 15 (usually a dinner, but depending on the tempo of harvest maybe some lunches) as well as packaged lunch for our vineyard team of 12, prepare the food, as well as having food on hand for DIY lunches and snacks. We also have a winery garden from which you may source some fresh veggies off our estate. This is a great gig for the right person who is a self starter and enjoys collaborating and working alongside others to plan their menu and execution. Plus you'll be working at our winery located on one of our estate vineyards just outside of Newberg. It's a great place to come to work every day.
Timing:
A rough estimation of a starting date is late August, and the position will likely last until around Halloween.
Compensation:
$25.00/hr Our Wine Education Program provides $60 per month worked to spend towards Adelsheim wines at employee pricing.

Adelsheim Vineyard was founded with an optimistic spirit and lofty dream: to create world-class wines in an undiscovered wine region, the Chehalem Mountains of Oregon s Willamette Valley. Since 1971, we have obsessively pursued benchmark wines that celebrate the unique bounty of our estate vineyards -- home to some of Oregon s most diverse soil types, elevations, and exposures. As a founding winery of the Willamette Valley and Chehalem Mountains first winery, Adelsheim has played an instrumental role in nearly every aspect of the Oregon wine story. As leaders, we believe it is our duty to be steadfast stewards of this abundant land and to rally our community in support of equity and education. Adelsheim is a LIVE certified sustainable winery and a seven-time Wine & Spirits Top 100 Winery as well as being a locally owned family company.

Adelsheim Vineyard is an equal opportunity employer. We are dedicated to fostering a culture which values and works towards furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion within our company, industry, and community"
