Overview Join our team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights! In this vital role, you will assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining an efficient work environment. We are seeking a motivated professional eager to showcase their culinary talents while managing a fast-paced kitchen with energy and precision. Responsibilities Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow during all shifts Lead food preparation and cooking processes to uphold high standards of quality and presentation Oversee food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen activities Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs Support menu planning and development in collaboration with the kitchen manager & owner to introduce innovative dishes Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and maintaining a positive work environment Monitor food handling procedures and ensure adherence to safety standards at all times Requirements Proven experience in food production Demonstrated supervisory and team management skills with a leadership mindset Strong background in food service management, including shift management and kitchen operations oversight Extensive culinary experience with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control systems, and cost-effective food management practices Excellent understanding of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling practices Previous restaurant management experience preferred; strong organizational skills required Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
