Cassique features two dining venues, as well as unique culinary events featuring live open-fire cooking. At Voysey's, our fine dining steak-centric concept features in-house dry-aged Prime steaks prepared on our custom wood-fire grill, along with local seafood and handmade pastas. In the Living Room, our polished bar venue, expertly composed dishes are served with an emphasis on local products. Join the team of talented professionals led by Executive Chef Michael O'Shaughnessy as they create memorable dining experiences in a brand-new showcase kitchen using the freshest ingredients, time-tested techniques, and the latest culinary technology. At Cassique, we strive not only to produce beautiful, delicious dishes, but also to develop and mentor our team members as they advance their careers. The perfect candidate will be responsible for the following, among other duties: Lead all PM culinary operations for dinner service throughout the Cassique Clubhouse, ensuring exceptional execution, consistency, and memorable experiences for our Members and guests Serve as the operational leader of the evening culinary team, maintaining accountability for all aspects of PM production, service execution, staffing, and kitchen performance Project a passion for cuisine and quality that inspires the team, always leading by example Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development, seasonal offerings, holiday menus, wine dinners, special events, and unique Member experiences Direct and oversee all dinner service preparation, execution, staffing, and quality control standards while maintaining the highest level of culinary excellence Provide leadership, training, supervision, coaching, and professional development for all PM kitchen staff, fostering growth, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, organization, and consistency throughout all culinary operations Participate in the cooking process from production through service, working any station necessary to support the team and ensure successful execution Manage labor deployment, scheduling, inventory controls, ordering, product utilization, and food cost objectives to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance, execution, cleanliness, and adherence to Club standards Work closely with cooks and stewards to promote a positive, professional, and efficient kitchen culture Collaborate with the FOH leadership team to ensure seamless communication, elevated service standards, and exceptional Member experiences Assist in the planning and execution of special events, Member functions, holiday celebrations, and live-fire culinary experiences Assume responsibility for all PM culinary operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring continuity of leadership and execution Serve as a key member of the culinary leadership team and contribute to the ongoing growth, innovation, and success of the Cassique culinary program Kiawah Island Club Offers A knowledgeable and passionate management team that leads by example Excellent compensation The best benefits package including health, vision, dental, short-term/long-term disability, 401(k) with employer contribution• Employee Wellness Program including complimentary gym membership and monetary health incentives A work/life balance! This position is focused on PM dinner service and requires flexibility to support evening events, Member functions, and special culinary experiences as business needs require.
