We are looking for a part-time Assistant Sushi Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate already has sushi rolling experience and can work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position also offers an opportunity to grow into a Lead Sushi Chef role based on performance, reliability, and skill development.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and roll sushi according to restaurant recipes and standards Assist the sushi chef with daily prep and service Prepare ingredients, including fish, vegetables, rice, and sauces Maintain consistent presentation and portioning Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and sanitary Follow proper food handling and food safety procedures Assist with stocking, inventory, opening, and closing duties as needed

Requirements:

Sushi rolling skills required Previous sushi restaurant experience preferred Able to make consistent, clean, well-presented rolls Reliable and able to work well with the kitchen team Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled Sashimi and fish-cutting skills are a plus Interest in developing toward a Lead Sushi Chef position
