Duties Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and pastries with precision and consistency. Follow recipes meticulously to ensure adherence to quality standards and flavor profiles. Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other baking tools safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols. Package baked goods for retail or catering purposes while ensuring product integrity during transportation. Assist in food production for special events or high-volume orders while maintaining efficiency and quality. Support food handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies related to pastry production. Experience Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry, preferably with high-volume production experience. Strong skills in cake decorating, pastry preparation, baking techniques, and food presentation. Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures. Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic math for recipe adjustments and portion control.
