Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi with precision, artistry, and consistency Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all food handling and preparation processes Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop and refine menu offerings that delight customers Ensure proper storage, rotation, and freshness of seafood and ingredients used in sushi preparation Manage knife skills efficiently for slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients with accuracy Assist in food presentation to ensure dishes are visually appealing and meet quality standards Support catering events or special functions by preparing sushi platters and customized orders Follow all food industry regulations and restaurant policies to uphold hygiene and safety standards Experience Proven culinary experience in fine dining or Japanese cuisine environments Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service setting with a focus on sushi or seafood dishes Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services related to Japanese cuisine Demonstrated knife skills essential for precise slicing and presentation of sushi ingredients Experience with dietary department requirements or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Familiarity with food safety protocols, kitchen operations, and the food industry standards Join us as a Sushi Chef where your culinary artistry will shine!
