Job Summary As the Executive Chef at Hotel Indigo Irving-Las Colinas' KLEO restaurant, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen in delivering innovative, high-quality dishes that reflect the hotel's unique local character. You'll have the opportunity to craft menus that highlight regional flavors, source local ingredients, and create a memorable dining experience for our guests. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory, and staff management, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
•Mediterranean Cuisine Knowledge Required•
Menu Creation & Execution:
Design and implement seasonal menus that reflect local cuisine, trends, and the distinctive Hotel Indigo vibe, while keeping consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
Kitchen Management:
Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring optimal food preparation and cooking practices, and ensuring quality standards are met consistently.
Food Quality & Presentation:
Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and freshness, while adhering to brand guidelines and guest expectations.
Inventory & Ordering:
Manage food inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Ensure the kitchen adheres to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including food safety standards, proper storage, and cleanliness protocols.
Staff Supervision & Development:
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring they are skilled in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety practices. Foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
Guest Interaction:
Interact with guests when needed to ensure satisfaction and address any special dietary requests or culinary inquiries.
Budget & Cost Control:
Assist in managing food costs and waste, ensuring profitability while maintaining the quality standards of the hotel's restaurant.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operational flow, address guest feedback, and contribute to special events or promotions.
Qualifications:
Proven Experience:
5+ years of experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role, ideally in an upscale restaurant or hotel kitchen.
Creative Culinary Skills:
Strong background in creating diverse menus, working with local ingredients, and showcasing regional flavors.
Leadership Abilities:
Proven experience leading a kitchen team, with the ability to mentor and motivate staff to maintain high performance standards.
Strong Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with front-of-house staff and management.
Certification & Education:
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience. ServSafe or food safety certification is preferred. Attention to

Meticulous approach to food quality, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
