Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them through the menu, highlighting sushi options and specials with enthusiasm. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery. Serve sushi and other Japanese dishes with precision, maintaining presentation standards and food safety protocols. Upsell menu items including premium sushi rolls, beverages, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Manage guest relations by addressing questions about menu ingredients, dietary restrictions, and pairing recommendations confidently. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly in a fine dining or casual setting. Experience Previous restaurant experience with a focus on food service or hospitality is preferred; experience in sushi or Japanese cuisine is a plus. Proven skills in customer service, guest relations, and food handling within fast-paced environments such as fine dining or nightlife venues. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable reservations management is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high service standards. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food preparation techniques. Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a lively nightclub or restaurant setting.
