Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Korean Kitchen/Sushi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Korean dishes and expertly crafting sushi to delight our guests. Your culinary expertise will help create memorable dining experiences by ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality, presentation, and flavor. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic, fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in Asian cuisine. Responsibilities Prepare and cook traditional Korean dishes, including but not limited to bibimbap, kimchi, bulgogi, and other specialty items with precision and authenticity Craft a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other Japanese-inspired dishes following established recipes and presentation standards Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation by adhering to sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations Operate kitchen equipment such as sushi knives, grills, stoves, rice cookers, and other tools efficiently and safely Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or modifications based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Ensure consistency in food quality by following recipe guidelines meticulously and managing portion control during high-volume production Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours Requirements Proven experience working as a Korean Kitchen Chef and Sushi Chef in a restaurant or fine dining setting Strong knife skills with the ability to prepare ingredients efficiently and precisely Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and food production methods Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures within a commercial kitchen environment Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for high-volume production Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and effectively under pressure Prior experience in the food industry with a focus on Asian cuisine or catering is highly desirable Excellent food handling skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence and innovation Join us if you're eager to bring your culinary talents to life in a lively environment that values quality, creativity, and teamwork.
