In this role, you will craft authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes, ensuring each plate meets the highest standards of quality, freshness, and presentation. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine and dedication to food safety will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals eager to showcase their knife skills, creativity, and knowledge of the food industry in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry. Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in all food handling and preparation processes. Plan menus that highlight fresh ingredients while aligning with restaurant concepts and customer preferences. Manage ingredient inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste; order supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours. Demonstrate excellent knife skills for slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients efficiently. Uphold restaurant standards by consistently delivering visually appealing dishes that meet quality expectations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within fine dining or restaurant settings. Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi preparation techniques, and food handling safety protocols. Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and catering services. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation for diverse menu items. Background in the food industry with a focus on food service, kitchen experience, or culinary arts. Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide practices is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and presentation quality.
