In this dynamic role, you will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. Additionally, you will showcase your culinary skills by preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes that delight the senses. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive customer service Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently, minimizing wait times and optimizing flow Take reservations and handle phone inquiries with professionalism and hospitality Prepare, assemble, and present sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi bar area, adhering to food safety regulations Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately for orders and payments Assist in training new team members on service procedures, menu items, and POS operation Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience through personalized service and guest relations Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy hours Qualifications Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments, preferably within a restaurant setting Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Experience working with sushi or Japanese cuisine is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude Exceptional phone etiquette and guest relations skills Hospitality experience in hotel or restaurant settings is advantageous Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to work well under pressure Join our vibrant team where your enthusiasm meets culinary passion!
