The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met while maintaining an efficient workflow. Responsibilities Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality food production. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques. Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operations. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage. Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain consistency in food presentation and flavor profiles. Monitor food preparation processes to guarantee quality standards are upheld at all times. Participate in shift management, ensuring that all stations are adequately staffed during peak hours. Experience Proven experience in a culinary role within the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting. Strong leadership skills with experience supervising kitchen staff and managing shifts. Knowledge of food management practices, including inventory control and cost management. Familiarity with food production techniques and equipment used in commercial kitchens. Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
