About Us:
Samovar Lounge is a growing restaurant in Woodbridge, VA, offering authentic Mediterranean flavors in a welcoming and modern dining environment. We are seeking a talented and passionate Mediterranean Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver an exceptional culinary experience to our guests.
Role Overview:
The Mediterranean Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality Mediterranean dishes, designing and developing menu offerings, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring consistency, efficiency, and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare authentic Mediterranean dishes with consistent quality and presentation. Design and develop menus and seasonal specials. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards. Manage food inventory and minimize waste. Ensure kitchen cleanliness and organization. Work efficiently during busy service periods. Support and guide kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience cooking Mediterranean cuisine. Strong knowledge of Mediterranean ingredients and cooking techniques. Ability to design and develop menus. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Knowledge of food safety standards. Culinary training or certification is a plus.
