Pastry Chef in Washington, DC We are currently hiring an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Washington, DC. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts in our restaurant. Your creativity and passion for baking will be showcased as you develop new recipes and improve upon existing ones.

Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare various pastries and desserts according to established recipes
• Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings, and presentation techniques
• Develop new pastry ideas and recipes that meet customer preferences
• Monitor supplies and ingredients to ensure availability for daily baking needs
• Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
• Comply with food safety standards and regulations
• Train junior pastry chefs on proper techniques and procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
• Extensive knowledge of different pastry types, techniques, ingredients, and equipment
• Creativity and ability to develop unique pastry recipes
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production of pastries
• Strong attention to detail for quality control
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
