We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to culinary excellence. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with skillful knife techniques and attention to detail Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed to maintain hygiene and compliance Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning to introduce innovative sushi options while maintaining consistency Manage food preparation and cooking processes efficiently during service hours to meet customer demand Maintain the freshness and quality of ingredients through proper storage and handling practices Assist in catering events or special functions requiring sushi or Japanese cuisine expertise Serve guests directly when needed, providing excellent customer service and explaining menu items confidently Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining establishments or restaurants specializing in Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation Strong knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques specific to sushi making Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating attention to dietary restrictions and nutritional considerations Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry operations preferred Excellent culinary skills with a focus on food presentation and quality control Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards Join us if you're passionate about delivering authentic sushi experiences that delight guests!
