As a Sushi Chef, you will be at the forefront of creating authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, attention to detail, and dedication to quality will elevate the dining experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation. Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used according to safety standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to health regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate orders efficiently during busy service hours Develop innovative sushi recipes and presentation techniques to enhance menu offerings Monitor inventory levels of seafood, rice, nori, and other ingredients; place orders as needed Educate team members on proper sushi preparation techniques and safety procedures Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of sushi preparation, knife skills, and ingredient handling Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail for presentation and quality control Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices Creativity in developing new sushi recipes and presentation styles Experience with culinary techniques such as curriculum development, cooking, plating, and working with diverse ingredients Familiarity with classroom management or training others is a plus for mentoring junior staff Passion for culinary arts, especially sushi making, with a commitment to continuous learning Join us if you're eager to craft exceptional sushi dishes that captivate our guests!
