Job Description

Prairie Ridge Health is seeking a manager to lead our Culinary Services team. This position oversees our elevated culinary team and the full operations of The Ridge Café, The Perk Coffee Shop, and a sizable internal catering program with day‑to‑day leadership support from the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and Catering Chef. The Ridge Café is not an ordinary hospital cafeteria, it operates as a true restaurant with specialty menus, a made‑my‑way station, a large salad bar, and take‑home meals. It serves not only employees, visitors, outpatients, but also community members.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager of Culinary Services provides leadership and direction to the members of the Culinary Services and Perk Avenue Cafe teams. He/she is responsible for facilitating a multi-disciplinary care delivery system, developing and updating the policies, procedures and competencies and is responsible for hiring and staffing the department to assure safety. The Manager of Culinary Services demonstrates fiscal responsibility in development and management of the department budgets. He/she is accountable for regulatory requirements and is a leader in compliance with health and safety standards and guidelines. He/she must be a leader in Quality Measurement and Enhancement for the department.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Five years of experience within a culinary setting required. Three years prior supervisory/management experience highly preferred or equivalent progressive career achievements demonstrating strong leadership skills Computer knowledge preferred
FTE:
1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)
Shift:
Monday-Friday, days, 1‑in‑4 call rotation with the culinary leadership team during off‑hours.
