Job Summary Join us as Executive Chef and lead an innovative corporate dining program where creativity is at the heart of the experience. You'll craft inspired menus that elevate daily dining, turning fresh ideas into engaging, high-quality culinary offerings. Blending creativity with operational excellence, you'll guide your team to execute bold concepts while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and consistency. Key Responsibilities Bring culinary vision to life by designing and executing both classic and forward-thinking menus within corporate dining and catering programs Balance creativity with consistency by adapting and elevating established recipes, portioning, and presentation standards while ensuring every dish meets high-quality expectations Lead by example—tasting, refining, and perfecting dishes to deliver exceptional flavor and memorable dining experiences Inspire, mentor, and develop kitchen talent, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning in food preparation, safety, and technique Create an organized and high-performing kitchen environment by implementing efficient systems for production, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance Manage inventory strategically, ensuring fresh, high-quality ingredients are always available while minimizing waste and maximizing resourcefulness Think creatively about sustainability by finding smart, compliant ways to repurpose and reimagine ingredients Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and operational excellence, consistently excelling in audits and inspections Champion a culture of safety and accountability across all kitchen and catering operations Stay engaged and inspired by participating in team meetings, professional development, and culinary innovation initiatives Preferred Qualifications Culinary degree or equivalent hands-on experience, with a passion for continuous growth and creative exploration 3-5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, ideally in corporate dining, catering, or high-volume environments Strong background in catering and event execution, with the ability to create memorable, client-focused culinary experiences Experience in high-volume, fast-paced kitchens where creativity and efficiency go hand in hand Proven hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire, coach, and elevate a culinary team Deep understanding of current food trends, global flavors, wellness-focused cooking, and modern presentation techniques Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance creativity with food cost management, production efficiency, and operational goals Comfortable using technology and systems (Microsoft Office, email, inventory/production tools) to support kitchen operations ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain), with a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation Apply to Canteen today!
