Job Description

Conference Center & Visitor Specialist (Substitute) Alameda County Office Of Education (ACOE) Hayward, CA Job Details Full-time $4,982.87 - $6,057.60 a month 1 day ago Qualifications Phone communication Administrative experience Clerical experience Full Job Description Must apply using EDJOIN link below: https://www.edjoin.org/Home/JobPosting/2220017 About the Employer The Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE) leads with a student-centered vision, innovating in the classroom and building safe and supportive community schools. We collaborate and partner with local, county, and state agencies to address challenges students face. We are looking for individuals who can enact our vision: equipping the most vulnerable students and those who serve them with the tools to thrive. Join our team as we reimagine services to more holistically support students and erase the predetermination of failure for children, especially Alameda County's most marginalized youth. Job Summary The ideal specialist is a master of logistics and first impressions who excels at managing the "living" parts of the ACOE central office. As the face of the agency, you will provide a professional visitor experience, transitioning seamlessly from high-level clerical tasks using current technology and multi-line phone operation to manual facility support, such as setting up coffee service, managing catering, and handling inventory. This isn't a typical sedentary role; it requires a professional who ensures multiple meeting spaces are "event-ready" for the 18 school districts, community partners, and programs we serve daily. Reliability and foresight are paramount, as you are responsible for opening the front desk, cafe, and kitchen within the conference center. We are seeking a proactive problem-solver and collaborative communicator who stays "calm in the storm" of frequent interruptions while ensuring both the conference center and front desk are expertly supported.
