Inn Services Attendant

About Us:

Located halfway up Mt. Tamalpais above Mill Valley, the Mountain Home Inn is a historic 10-room hotel and restaurant with sweeping views of the Bay and nearby hiking trails. We offer guests a romantic, rustic escape just minutes from Muir Woods.

6-8 hour shifts, part-time or full-time

Role:

Mountain Home Inn is looking for a dependable and friendly Inn Services Attendant to join our small team. Perched on Mount Tamalpais with sweeping views of the Bay, our inn offers a peaceful escape for guests seeking nature, comfort, and good company. In this hybrid role, you'll be the go-to person for both overnight guests and walk-in visitors. You'll manage front desk operations, checking guests in and out, answering phones and emails, while also tending bar and ensuring everyone feels welcome. You'll often be working solo, so we're looking for someone confident, self-motivated, and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in/out overnight guests Serve wine, beer, and simple beverages to walk-in patrons and guests Respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person Maintain a clean, welcoming front desk and bar area Provide local recommendations and basic information about nearby trails and attractions Work independently during most shifts, with minimal supervision Handle light housekeeping or restocking tasks during slower moments

Requirements:

Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfortable working alone and managing multiple tasks Previous hospitality or bartending experience is a plus Basic computer/email proficiency Must be 21+ and able to serve alcohol responsibly Evening and weekend availability required
