Little Mountain is a wood-fired kitchen rooted in Montecito's coastal culture, added to the California Michelin Guide within six months of opening. We collaborate with local farmers, ranchers, and fishermen to source organic and biodynamic ingredients, and we bring the same intentionality to every guest interaction. We're looking for someone exceptional: warm and precise, quietly confident, and genuinely invested in the art of hospitality. A vital role in any restaurant, we take our guest relations and our first hello, last goodbye at Little Mountain very seriously and the right person will feel that responsibility as a privilege and a joy!
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Welcome every guest with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for their entire experience from the first moment of arrival
Own the reservation book nightly — managing table assignments, pacing, and flow to balance guest satisfaction with a healthy, building business
Build real relationships with regulars and VIPs, tracking preferences and delivering consistently personalized experiences
Contribute to pre-shift meetings with the service team, covering reservations and guest notes
Execute special requests seamlessly — dietary needs, seating preferences, private celebrations, milestone moments
Guide and train the host team in real time, modeling Little Mountain's standards with every interaction
Stay attuned to the room throughout service — tables resets, guests experiences, team supported
Handle guest concerns with professionalism and empathy, and know when to escalate to management
WHO YOU ARE A

Highly organized and capable of managing competing priorities without losing composure
Skilled at reading a room — anticipating needs before they're expressed and responding with precision
An effective communicator who motivates those around them to hold a high standard
Someone who understands that great hospitality is built on consistency, memory, and sincere connection
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Maître D' or in a comparable fine dining or luxury hospitality role
Strong command of reservation platforms such as SevenRooms, Resy, or OpenTable
Experience in Michelin-recognized, Forbes-rated, or similarly distinguished environments preferred
Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills
