Open until filled Position Summary The Grove at Cottonwood is a 40-unit affordable housing community intentionally designed to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live independently in an inclusive setting. At the heart of this community is the Resident Concierge, a welcoming and trusted presence who connects residents to resources, builds community, and helps ensure residents are thriving—not just housed. This is not a direct care or case management role, but a unique community-facing position that blends hospitality, resource navigation, and inclusive community building. The Concierge plays a vital role in promoting housing stability, dignity, and connection for all residents. Key Responsibilities Resident Onboarding & Orientation- Welcome new residents with personalized orientations.
- Support understanding of lease agreements, building policies, and community resources.
- Collaborate with families, natural supports, and service providers to ensure smooth transitions. Ongoing Resident Engagement
- Conduct regular check-ins with residents who opt in or have identified support needs.
- Maintain a consistent, approachable presence in common areas.
- Partner with site staff to anticipate and support resident needs. Community Programming & Inclusion
- Coordinate inclusive on-site programming with local partners (e.g., art workshops, cooking classes, guided discussions).
- Organize community-led social and recreational activities that promote connection.
- Lead efforts that celebrate neurodiversity and foster mutual understanding among residents, staff and the community. Service Navigation & Resource Connection
- Maintain an up-to-date hub of quality service providers in the community.
- Assist residents in building and sustaining personal Circles of Support.
- Facilitate collaboration with case managers, without duplicating services. Emergency & Wellness Coordination
- Partner with property management on wellness checks and emergency planning tailored to individual needs.
- Help identify and respond to early signs of resident distress.
- Connect residents to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care when needed. Collaboration with Property Management
- Serve as a liaison to help navigate resident/property issues where appropriate.
- Support equitable communication and policy awareness.
- Help mediate issues early to prevent housing instability or eviction.
- Resident input informs program design, activities, and community priorities.
- All on-site activities are open and welcoming to every resident.
- Residents decide how and when to participate.
- Strong relationships are the foundation of a thriving community.
