Job Description

Royal Nail & Beauty is a full-service nail and beauty salon in Coral Gables, co-owned by a marketing strategist and a master hairstylist with a combined 425K+ social media following. We're not your average salon — we're building a bold, personality-driven beauty destination where craft meets culture, and the front desk sets the tone for the entire experience. The front desk at Royal isn't a background role. You're the first person every client sees, the voice they hear when they call, and the energy that welcomes them in. If you're organized, personable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days look the same — this is your role. What You'll Do Be the first point of contact for every client — greet walk-ins, answer phone calls, respond to texts and DMs, and make every person feel welcome from the moment they reach us. Manage the salon's appointment book: schedule, confirm, reschedule, and follow up on bookings across phone, text, online, and walk-in channels. Process payments and checkouts through Square POS — including split-tender transactions, discounts, tips, and ClassPass bookings. Coordinate the flow of the salon floor: communicate with nail techs and stylists about timing, walk-in availability, and client arrivals so the day runs smoothly. Handle client inquiries about services, pricing, availability, and policies with confidence and accuracy. Track and log no-shows, cancellations, and client notes to keep our records clean and useful. Support outreach campaigns — make follow-up calls, send booking reminders, and help execute client win-back initiatives as directed. Maintain the front desk and waiting area — keep it clean, organized, and visually on-brand at all times.
Assist with light administrative tasks:
inventory checks, supply orders, appointment reporting, and internal communication. Contribute to the salon's energy — you set the vibe. Royal is a high-energy, social space and the front desk should reflect that. Requirements Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer-facing role (salon or beauty industry experience is a strong plus but not required). Bilingual in English and Spanish — required. Our Coral Gables clientele is genuinely bicultural and you'll need to communicate fluently in both languages daily.
Comfortable with technology:
Square POS, online booking systems, and basic phone/text/DM management. You don't need to be a tech expert, but you can't be afraid of a screen. Excellent communication skills — warm, clear, and professional on the phone, in person, and over text. Organized and detail-oriented — you can manage a full appointment book, handle multiple clients at once, and keep track of moving pieces without dropping the ball. Reliable and punctual. The front desk opens the salon — if you're late, everything's late. Positive, high-energy personality. You genuinely enjoy interacting with people and can stay upbeat through a busy day. Must be available to work Wednesday through Sunday. Nice to Have Experience working in a nail salon, hair salon, or beauty/wellness business. Familiarity with Square POS, Booksy, ClassPass, or similar booking/payment platforms. Comfort with social media — occasionally you may help with quick content tasks like snapping a photo, responding to a DM, or updating a story. An eye for aesthetics and presentation — you notice when something looks off and fix it without being asked. Experience with outbound calling or client follow-up campaigns.
