Position Summary:
Nickel Group Protective Services Agents (PSAs) will provide protective services to dignitaries, high-net-worth clients, high-level executives, and well-known persons. PSAs will provide travel coverage (both domestic and international), security driving operations, advance threat assessments, residential protection, and concierge services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide close protection and other security-related functions for clients during events, and domestic or international travel. Perform protective advance planning and risk assessments. Transport the client and/or family members to events and appointments, using evasive and/or defensive driving tactics, as needed. Effectively manage the client and/or their family/representative's requests against the need to ensure all safety and security precautions. Respond to emergencies and perform medical operations, as needed. Ensure the vehicle is in clean and safe operating conditions at all times. Assist with protection schedules and team assignments. Operate and maintain protective, operations, and communications equipment. Conduct thorough investigations and prepare written documentation regarding non-routine incidents with reports, pictures, and witness statements. Promptly identify and escalate deficiencies/failures. Monitor security systems from a command post within a private family residence as part of a broader Protective Services program. Work closely with the Protective Services team, and day to day with family members, business executives, and other colleagues in formal and social settings to provide the highest levels of service and protection. Manage access control protocols and ensure security processes are followed. As directed, patrol and inspect all areas of the property and manage onsite and remote surveillance systems. Ensure that unauthorized people are not permitted into prohibited areas and complete daily log and incident management records Perform ad hoc and dynamic duties and assignments as directed by the client and management team. Respond to any security breaches to safeguard clients and other staff on the property. Initiate response protocols and escalate as necessary. All other duties assigned.Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively build a network of contacts at all levels within the industry and in the community, both internally and externally. Ability to break down and review complex information. Establish credibility through timely, responsive, and truthful interactions. Creative and innovative; the ability to see alternatives and solutions. Understand the most effective and efficient way to accomplish tasks within the parameters of organizational hierarchy, processes, systems, timelines, and budget. Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks. Communicate orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and impartial manner.Education and Qualifications:
Prior experience in Executive Protection, law enforcement, military, or high-level security operations required. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in protective services, threat assessment, or security operations; advanced experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with contemporary Access Control systems, Camera systems, Radio, Telephone (Mobile and Satellite) and App-based communications systems. Knowledge of principles and practices of security management, personnel practices, administrative practices, security preventative practices, operational planning and emergency response protocols and related legal responsibilities, including local/state (BSIS) regulations. Possess a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record. CPR/AED Certified desired. Valid Class D and G license required.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
