Doorman Part Time Kinzie Station Condominium Association Chicago, IL Job Details Part-time $22.35 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Free parking Paid time off Qualifications Guest relations Customer inquiry handling Attention to detail Organizational skills Security Mobile devices Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a professional, attentive, and customer-focused Door Staff / Front Desk Attendant to serve as the first point of contact for residents, guests, and vendors. This role is critical to maintaining a secure, welcoming, and well-managed residential environment. Key ResponsibilitiesResident & Guest Interaction Greet all residents and guests in a courteous and professional manner Announce guests and obtain resident approval prior to granting access Ensure no guest proceeds beyond the lobby without resident confirmation Assist residents with doors, packages, and personal items as needed Provide accurate information and respond to general inquiries Maintain professionalism at all times—no personal phone use while on duty in front of residents/guests Contractor Management Check in all contractors using the designated sign-in system Verify all contractors are scheduled and authorized before allowing entry Package Handling Receive and log all deliveries into the system Clearly label packages with unit numbers Maintain organized package storage areas Key Control Release unit keys only to residents or authorized individuals Verify valid Permission-to-Enter documentation before key distribution Parking & Driveway Monitoring Assign and manage guest parking: $5 (up to 4 hours) $10 (up to 24 hours) Process payments via iPad (Square) or resident account (no cash accepted) Enforce parking policies—no free parking permitted Monitor driveway activity and address unauthorized vehicles Security & Monitoring Monitor surveillance systems and report suspicious activity immediately Front Desk & Lobby Maintenance Keep front desk clean, organized, and clutter-free Maintain lobby presentation during downtime: Straighten furniture and pillows Dispose of outdated materials Vacuum entry mats as needed Place wet floor signage during inclement weather Incident Reporting Complete detailed and accurate incident reports as needed Document all relevant details and observations Communication Maintain clear communication with management and maintenance staff Log all significant events and updates in the daily shift report Fire Panel Procedures Respond promptly to alarms by identifying the location on the panel Notify management and building engineer immediately Property Walkthroughs Conduct routine walkthroughs to ensure safety, cleanliness, and policy compliance Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to remain professional and composed in all situations Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Basic technology skills (iPad, logging systems, etc.) Prior front desk, hospitality, or security experience preferred What We're Looking For Someone who is reliable, observant, and takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.
