Job Description

Front Desk Job Overview This position focus is monitoring and recording inmate sign-outs, counts, and activities within the policies and procedures and any related duties as assigned in a federal residential reentry center (RRC). Responsibilities and Duties Manages resident movement by conducting client sign-ins and sign-outs. Performs client intake and discharges processes. Performs accountability processes for all clients. Conducts pat searches of clients as well as inspections and searches of resident sleeping quarters, common areas of the facility and client vehicles. Confiscates contraband as required by policy and procedures. Reports and documents client program infractions and unusual events. Conducts appropriate crisis intervention. Monitors security cameras to maintain a safe and secure environment for clients. Enforces the facility rules for client conduct. Supervises visitors within the facility. Monitors medication usage of residential clients. Prepares reports and maintains logs as required. Oversees and monitors client activity within the facility. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to write legible reports in English in their handwriting. Ability to plan motivate, control, schedule, train and react quickly and appropriately to emergencies, effectively communicate with residents and staff. Ability to work any assigned shift as a relief only position. Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during a daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time. Ability to work with computers and the applicable software typically used by the facility. Must be able to follow rules and regulations and compliance tasks as outlined in the Federal Bureau of Prison's Statement of Work. Must be able to follow rules and regulations and complete assigned tasks Certifications and License Valid driver's license and appropriate liability insurance preferred. Positions in this classification may be required to travel and work at multiple sites regularly. First Aid / CPR / AED certification completed within the probationary period and maintained throughout employment.
