Workplace Experience Ambassador Job Description The Workplace Experience Ambassador ensures that building spaces are consistently set up, maintained, and presented to create a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors and employees. This role combines front-of-house customer service with hands-on facilities support, including event and meeting space preparation, coordination of services, and day-to-day operational support. The position is offered as contract-to-hire in Kansas City, MO, with free onsite parking and a negotiable daytime shift. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external visitors, creating a positive first impression of the workplace. Manage all front-of-house services, including reception-style duties, and appropriately direct incoming queries in person, by phone, and through digital channels. Plan and assist with the physical setup of events and meeting spaces, including arranging furniture, placing signage, and setting up equipment. Support facilities team services as required, contributing to the smooth operation of the building and common areas. Manage printer room and breakroom restocks, ensuring supplies, consumables, and shared resources remain available and organized. Identify areas of focus or issues in the facility and escalate them to the facilities management (FM) team as needed. Manage furniture breakdowns and setups using small hand-held tools and other equipment, ensuring spaces are configured correctly and safely. Share responsibilities with other team members, with a strong emphasis on front desk support and coverage. Use PC-based platforms and tools to manage daily activities, track tasks, and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders. Perform any other related duties as assigned to support workplace operations and enhance the overall experience. Essential Skills Outstanding customer service skills with the ability and confidence to communicate with customers at all levels, both in writing and verbally. Strong self-motivation with a confident, energetic, and professional attitude. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and act as a positive ambassador for the workplace and facilities function. High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Proficiency with PCs and the ability to manage daily activities using various digital platforms and tools. Comfort using small hand-held tools for furniture setup and breakdown. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs to support equipment moves, furniture adjustments, and event setups. Experience in reception, concierge, or a related customer-facing field. High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications Catering or hospitality experience is preferred and will support event and meeting services. Experience in administration or office coordination is beneficial. Experience with calendar management and scheduling of meetings or events is an advantage. Demonstrated ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in a dynamic environment. Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and to support different teams as needed. Work Environment This role is based onsite in Kansas City, MO, with free onsite parking available. The position follows a daytime schedule with a negotiable shift, typically either 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The work environment is a professional office and facilities setting where you interact with a wide variety of teams, visitors, and service providers. You will spend time both at the front desk and within the building, setting up meeting rooms, events, and shared spaces. The role requires regular use of PCs and various digital platforms, as well as small hand-held tools for furniture and equipment setup. The position includes at least one virtual interview and possibly one onsite interview during the hiring process. The workplace culture emphasizes customer service, collaboration, and a high-quality experience for all building users, with a mix of administrative, customer-facing, and physical tasks throughout the day. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $32.00/hr.
