Responsibilities Greet clients warmly, assess their hair needs, and recommend suitable color and curl services tailored to their preferences. Perform consultations to understand client goals, provide product demos, and educate on aftercare routines. Execute professional hair coloring, curling, and styling techniques with precision and creativity. Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as Millennium or similar platforms to ensure smooth operations. Upsell retail products related to hair color, styling tools, and cosmetics to enhance client results and satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized front desk area; handle POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering efficiently. Utilize social media management skills to promote salon services, share client transformations, and engage with the community online. Stock retail shelves, organize merchandise displays, and assist with merchandising efforts to boost sales. Provide excellent customer service by answering phone inquiries with professional etiquette and managing client flow effectively. Support team members with organizational tasks like inventory management and retail math calculations to optimize sales performance. Qualifications Previous experience in a salon environment or cosmetology certification preferred; strong knowledge of hair coloring and curling techniques required. Proficiency with salon software such as Millennium or similar systems for scheduling and record keeping. Bilingual abilities (English plus additional languages) are a plus for serving diverse clientele. Excellent communication skills with a friendly phone etiquette style; ability to upsell products confidently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, merchandising, and retail sales processes. Basic math skills for retail transactions, retail math calculations, and cash handling accuracy. Experience in social media management or digital marketing is advantageous for promoting salon services. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude; time management skills essential for busy salon environments.
