Job Description

About us We are a small Not For Profit located in Ridgewood NJ. The office is located within our club, which we rent out for parties. The Woman's Club of Ridgewood is a 501c3 charitable organization that offers it's ballroom venues to be available at a reduced market value to the community. Proceeds help cover the expensive costs of maintaining a historic building, and club to gift money to students in need and local Charities. We are well known in the Bergen County area, and continues to support local charities such as CASA ( Court Appointed Special Advocates), Need Based Ridgewood High School Students, and Shelter for Our Sisters, among others. This is a great opportunity for a newly graduated person looking to gain experience while pursuing a corporate position. We are searching for a Concierge Associate that can guide guests' when planning events at The Woman's Club of Ridgewood ( (WCOR). Event Rental income helps maintain expenses and allows us to give to charity, which requires a special person to create the experience. As an Concierge Assistant you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, entertainer, and event planner. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in the Hotel Travel Industry. Determining guests' needs - by actively engaging them in 1-on-1 conversations and informing guests of product features & benefits. Suggestive selling - using proven techniques (i.e., related items, higher-quality items, transitional phrases). Demonstrating knowledge of the technical products. Maintaining a clean and organized supplies Maintaining proper product stock levels - through retail pulls & inventories. Performing opening, closing & side duties - Assuring the complete satisfaction of each and every guest. Creating memorable experiences.
