Job Description

Join the team at The Hotel Hershey, a luxury resort best known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 326 guest rooms, including 19 Villas with 98 luxury sleeping rooms, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This position is responsible for providing our guests with exceptional customer service. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Greeting and directing guests and providing information concerning area events and attractions Coordinating VIP arrivals, transportation requests, welcome letters, messages, and guest room amenities Coordinating reservations, tours, and flower deliveries; assisting bell persons with luggage storage Handling special projects as assigned Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Minimum of (1) one year of guest service experience required, preferably in a front desk or hotel operations Must have a valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven employee/guest relations, communication, problem solving, and organization skills. Keyboarding skills and PC familiarity. Proven guest relations, problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to work with computerized front office systems, file, computer figures, and handle cash with a high degree of accuracy. Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task. Must present a professional image representative of the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts mission and core values. Must be able to work independently and in a team setting. Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other employees and be able to interact with our guests. Must possess a positive attitude and be able to handle guest complaints with ease and professionalism. Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.
Job Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: Work area requires the ability to adjust to seasonal temperature changes and noise. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, and communicating clearly. Schedule is primarily 2nd shift, but may vary according to operational needs, to include 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 10a.m. to 6:30p.m., and 2:45p.m. to 11:15 p.m. Weekends and holidays required This is a seasonal position, which means the hours will be available primarily for the summer months, starting in April/May.
