Job Description
Shifts available are:
Fridays - 12 noon to 10:00 pm (8:30 pm in the summer) OR 2:00 pm to 10pm (8:30 pm in the summer) Saturdays 12 noon to 8:00 pm The Front Desk Representative works with a team to provide courteous and efficient customer service in person and on the phone to young people, families, staff and visitors. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Utilize the online operations systems Club Automation to:
- Answer a multi-line phone system with accurate and timely information; document and deliver phone messages to staff
- Manage participant data
- Process all new and returning student registrations for each clinic session and summer camp
- Accurately record and process all financial transactions
- Schedule court rentals, accurately processing payment
- Provide exceptional customer service to youth, families and visitors:
- Greet visitors to the Tennis Center and direct them accordingly
- Provide detailed and accurate information about all of our programs in person and on the phone
- Field and address complaints in a professional manner
- Function as Center's "gatekeeper":
- Supervise multiple communal spaces in a large athletic facility
- Monitor activity to ensure the safety and security of all youth, families and visitors
- Perform opening and/or closing duties including (un)locking building and setting security alarm systems
- Must be adept and trustworthy with cash management and data entry and capable of multitasking with special attention to detail.
- Represent the organization in a professional and respectful manner. Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant work experience with customer service, point-of-sale system and cash management
- 1 years of customer service experience preferred
- Excellent database and advanced computer skills
- High level of reliability and work ethic
- Strong organizational skills, well developed multi-tasking skills and the ability to manage and direct large numbers of visitors
- Passion for young people, especially those from under-served communities
- Impeccable integrity
- Preference will be given to candidates with an associate degree, experience working with youth in an educational/recreational setting, and/or sales experience.
